1. This piece of art represents the many trips to the East coast beaches we've been to. I like taking pictures of birds while we travel to new places, and this particular shot I got at our most recent trip to Litchfield beach.
2. I think the most challenging part of this piece was making the colors look good on the wood dock. A big setback was having to remix the colors each time the paint dried, and it was hard to get them perfect. 3.I really like how the shading on the bird turned out, and I also spend lots of time on the background details, and I think it turned out well. 4. First, I sketched out the general shape with a pencil. Then, I worked from the background up to the foreground, the bird and the dock. Finally I shaped it up by mixing up colors I used before and covering up any apparent red.
